What sparked your curiosity for the arts and to become an artist? All my lifetime have been drawings and painting. I enjoy colours.

You had been a scholar of Elaine de Kooning. What did you find out  from her? 

Elaine de Kooning was my drawing teacher durning the Summer season of 1976 in Paris, France when I analyzed with the New York Studio College. In her class we drew with charcoal sticks on paper from live types. Ms. de Kooning was quite interested in instructing us the relevance of the line gesture, even the erased line, as she considered the pentimento of the erased line added depth to the drawing.

My ’Cultured Pearls Portraits’ portray job (2017-ongoing) consists of extra than 150 portraits that honor the sisterhood of artists and curators that have impressed, motivated, and supported my function. It is important for me to paint my perception of each and every artist’s and curator’s essence by honoring their private stance, personal hairstyles, and trend alternatives. I have been painting on the concept of woman empowerment and sensuality for 40 yrs. For the final 27 yrs I have been a working towards artist though also being a mother.
